The Rainbow Room

Our Rainbow Room is for our 2-3 year old age group, in this room routine is focused on learning through play, in this room we also begin to encourage self independence – with support when needed, to also develop their own ideas and direct their own play. To learn to respect others and develop their social skills in a warm and friendly atmosphere. We give the children time, opportunity and encouragement to use their skills in a range of situations and for a range of purposes. As children approach three years we start preparing them for the more formal learning process in our Flower Room. In the pre-school we work with your child to develop their interests. This will be achieved through purposeful play which will incorporate the Early Learning Goals for the Foundation Stage of the National Curriculum.

Your child will have an appointed Key Person, who will build a bond with your child, work closely with you to be actively involved in your child’s learning. This will also support to settle your child and to achieve their early learning goals.

The staff ratio for this room is a maximum of one member of staff to four children.
